Oklahoma City Tree Fertilization

Promoting healthy tree growth.

Trees are similar to us in that they need the right nutrition to thrive. Their roots require access to healthy soil, plentiful oxygen, and the right balance of nutrients. Typically, the Oklahoma soil is not enough for trees to be their best.

TreeTech offers deep root fertilization that pushes nutrient-dense solution right into the root zone of trees. This results in richer soil, allowing trees to live a long and healthy life.

How Deep Root Fertilization Works

With this treatment, we create a mix of the right nutrients for the given tree type and soil. Then, we inject this mixture directly into the root zone of the tree. We start the injection just below the surface and then increase the depth up to 14 inches.

Injections are done in a series, with each being placed about 2-3 feet apart from each other, forming a grid pattern. This not only brings the nutrients to the roots but also aerates the soil and gets oxygen to where it is needed. As a result, trees are able to rapidly absorb the nutrients they need and become healthier.

Benefits of Deep Root Fertilization

When comparing standard surface-level fertilization to deep root methods, there are some very clear benefits in going the extra mile. These include:

Direct Feeding

With surface fertilization, you have to hope that eventually, the nutrients will reach the roots. Deep root fertilization places the nutrients right where they are needed.

Loose Soil

When the ground is too hard, the roots of your tree cannot develop properly. Deep root fertilization loosens soil for easier growth.

Disease Resistance

Diseases and insects can infect a tree from within the ground. A more robust and healthy root system makes it easier to fight back.

Why Hire an Exper Arborist?

Arborists understand the intricacies of plant health. Much like a human doctor, they are able to factor in all the variables between trees, diagnose conditions, and create tailored plans for optimal results. They aren’t just landscapers; they approach tree care holistically, including their nutritional needs.

Tree Removal FAQs

Lawn fertilizer is designed for grass, so it isn’t right for your trees. Additionally, your grass will absorb all the nutrients, preventing them from ever reaching the roots.

Ideally, you want your trees fertilized in early fall. This helps your trees get stronger before winter hits while also allowing them to recover from the stress of summer.

While not impossible, it isn’t advisable. Experts know how to craft the right mixture for your tree and create the best grid pattern.

Our certified arborists are experts at assessing tree health and delivering sustainable solutions that preserve and enhance your landscaping. To learn more or schedule a consultation, call us at 405-252-0777
